Underrated Perfumes for Valentine's
Valentine’s Day is a special day for lovebirds out there. And when you think of Valentine's Day, the first things that may come to mind are romantic dates and fabulous dinners. But, did you know that regardless of your relationship status, you can still give your Valentine's Day extra razzle dazzle and fun with the right fragrance? With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, this is the perfect time to experiment with a few underrated perfumes to switch up your game.
1. Diptyque Eau des Sans Hair Mist (Hair Perfume)
Diptyque is known for its distinctly dynamic, yet balanced natural scents that pull you in. And the Eau des Sans is no different. With its refreshing blast of aroma, this hair mist hits it out of the ballpark with its bright and spicy notes that scream “so fresh, and so clean”.
Unlike other perfumes out there, the Eau des Sans was made for your hair rather than the typical fragrance pulse points. With this, it just takes a spritz or two to freshen up your scalp and tame those frizzy hairs, whilst giving you that blast of aroma that you, oh so, long for. This has to do with the scent’s added camellia oil, which helps in promoting collagen growth and moisturises both the hair and the scalp.
The Diptyque Eau des Sans unravels its scents with top notes of orange blossom to liven up the air. It then develops into a middle note of juniper berry that leads you to its base note of patchouli and angelica root to round it all off perfectly.
Why is it underrated: It breaks the norm of the typical perfume where you spritz them on the pulse points of your body. Instead, it goes for your hair and scalp. Something to experiment with for this Valentine’s Day.

2. Saint Julep
Whoever said that Valentine’s is all about smelling sexy and romantic is wrong. There are countless fragrances out there that can evoke that feeling of butterflies in your stomach. It just so happens that Saint Julep is one of them. This refreshing fragrance from Imaginary Authors is a hit of freshness without the cold lingering around you. According to the olfactory masters behind this scent, Saint Julep harks back to the place where people could be themselves and dance their troubles away. Nestled in a wild mint field, this perfume is a blast of freedom in the form of sweet mint.
The Saint Julep is a green fragrance that features tangerine top notes, mint, sugar, magnolia, whiskey, ambergris and watery notes. All of this combined to make a refreshing yet sweetly warm aroma that envelops you in a sense of freedom in being yourself. Perfect for those hopeless romantics looking for their safe space in someone.
Why is it underrated: While everyone is looking to wear something sultry or seductive, be the outlier and stand out with a fragrance that likens you to the freshness of springtime.
